METS HALL OF FAMER ED KRANEPOOL PASSED AWAY  —  Mets Hall of Famer Ed Kranepool passed away at age 79 yesterday after suffering from cardiac arrest in Boca Raton, Florida.  Kranepool played for the Mets from 1962-1979.  He was a member of the 1969 Miracle Mets and an All-Star in 1965.
