Braves OF Hector Olivera arrested, accused of assault  —  ARLINGTON, Va. — Police have arrested Atlanta Braves outfielder Hector Olivera after a woman accused him of assault at a hotel outside Washington.  —  Police in Arlington, Virginia, said a woman at the Ritz-Carlton in Pentagon City called them at 6:51 a.m. ET.

MLB reveals special event uniforms  —  Major League Baseball unveiled new jerseys and caps to celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day, as well as updated designs for Memorial Day, Fourth of July and the All-Star Game.  —  It's the first time teams will celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day in specially designed uniforms.

Twins closer Glen Perkins put on 15-day DL with shoulder strain  —  MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Twins have placed closer Glen Perkins on the 15-day disabled list with a shoulder injury.  —  The move was made Wednesday before the Twins hosted Chicago, retroactive to Monday.
