Red Sox getting aggressive for Jimenez  —  It now seems more likely that Colorado Rockies ace Ubaldo Jimenez could be traded.  The Red Sox are the most aggressive puruser so far, but the Reds, Indians and Blue Jays are interested.  The Yankees are on the outside for now but have some interest in acquiring Jimenez.

Tigers Rout Angels Behind Guillen, Martinez  —  DETROIT (AP) — Carlos Guillen's two-run triple highlighted a four-run sixth inning and the Detroit Tigers went on to beat the Los Angeles Angels 12-2 on Friday night.  —  Guillen and Victor Martinez finished with four RBIs, while Ramon Santiago added three hits.

Cardinals might not be done dealing  —  Club could still be pursuing a closer, depth in middle infield  —  ST. LOUIS — The Cardinals have of course made their big move already this month, moving Colby Rasmus and acquiring three pitchers in an eight-player deal.  They are not necessarily finished dealing, however.
