Brewers Release Brian Bruney  —  The Brewers released Brian Bruney, according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (via Twitter).  Bruney signed with the Brewers earlier in the month, after the Nationals released him.  —  Bruney pitched 3.1 scoreless innings at Triple A Nashville after signing with Milwaukee.

Minor League Transactions  —  Many thanks to John Manuel and Jim Callis for pinch-hitting with transactions last week.  John tracked down the draft pick signings, while Jim concentrated on finding schools for nondrafted college free agents.  It's a lot of work, and they did an excellent job.
