Colin Curtis called up from Scranton  —  No word on a corresponding move, but outfielder Colin Curtis has been called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.  —  Curtis was hitting .280 in Triple-A. He's a versatile outfielder who can play all three spots with a little bit of power and speed on offense.

Florida State drops Florida, Clemson stuns ASU at CWS  —  OMAHA (AP) — Mike McGee hit a tie-breaking three-run homer in the third inning and picked up the save after Florida made things interesting in the ninth, leading Florida State to an 8-5 victory in a College World Series elimination game Monday.
