Braves find offense, Vazquez shuts down Bucs  —  PITTSBURGH (AP) — Martin Prado and David Ross hit three-run homers to support Javier Vazquez's six shutout innings and the Atlanta Braves finally found their missing offense, beating Pittsburgh 11-1 on Sunday to end a five-game losing streak.

Coffey, Brewers escape Mets late with 4-2 triumph  —  NEW YORK (AP) — Mike Cameron homered against his former team and Todd Coffey escaped a pair of late jams during an eight-out save, leading the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-2 victory over the New York Mets on Sunday.

Jays' rookie Romero pitches a gem against Athletics  —  Ricky Romero pitched seven sharp innings to help the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Oakland Athletics 1-0 on Sunday.  —  Romero (2-0) struck out a career-high six, allowed four hits and walked two, lowering his ERA to 1.71.

Pedro and Mulder ready to return  —  Veteran free agent pitchers remain on the market  —  Established starting pitcher, anyone?  —  The 2009 season is now almost two weeks old, and, for different reasons, former aces Mark Mulder and Pedro Martinez are still jobless.  —  For Mulder, it's injury.

Wang's not hurt  —  Just got back up from the clubhouse.  Joe Girardi, pitching coach Dave Eiland and Chien-Ming Wang all confirmed that Wang isn't injured.  He's just struggling.  —  Giving up 23 earned runs in six innings over three starts is beyond struggling, of course.  It's reason to consider a demotion.
