Orioles' Loewen abandons pitching career  —  BALTIMORE (AP)—Orioles left-hander Adam Loewen has abandoned his career as a pitcher because of a stress fracture in his left elbow, the same injury that sidelined him last season and twice put him on the disabled list this year.

Orioles rally past Tigers  —  Scott's walk-off homer in the 10th caps second O's comeback of the night  —  Luke Scott homered in the bottom of the 10th, and the Orioles rallied from a six-run deficit to beat the Detroit Tigers 11-10 on Saturday night.  —  Scott's shot to right field came with one out off Freddy Dolsi (1-4).
