Marlins rally in 9th, top Arizona 4-3  —  MIAMI (AP)—If the Florida Marlins could play everyone like they do the Arizona Diamondbacks, they might find themselves atop the NL East.  —  Jorge Cantu hit a game-ending RBI single, Hanley Ramirez hit a tying home run and the Marlins came back to beat the Diamondbacks 4-3 on Sunday.

Arroyo, Dunn help Reds beat Indians 9-5  —  CLEVELAND (AP)—Bronson Arroyo pitched worse and somehow got much better results.  —  The Cincinnati Reds' right-hander bounced back from the worst start of his career and Adam Dunn hit a three-run homer in a 9-5 win over the Cleveland Indians on Sunday.

Riggans, Sonnanstine lead Rays over Bucs  —  PITTSBURGH (AP)—Backup catcher Shawn Riggans homered and drove in two runs and the Tampa Bay Rays completed a remarkable first-half turnaround, beating the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 Sunday behind Andy Sonnanstine's seven effective innings.

Loretta lifts Astros past Red Sox 3-2  —  HOUSTON (AP)—Mark Loretta has gone from All-Star to nemesis for the Boston Red Sox.  —  Loretta had a pinch-hit, RBI single in the eighth inning off Hideki Okajima on Sunday to lift the Houston Astros to a 3-2 win over the Red Sox.

Rockies finally rally, then let it slip away  —  Tigers overcome Colorado's amazing four-run ninth  —  DETROIT — Halfway home, the Rockies are a million miles from where they thought they'd be.  —  Saturday night, they suffered their most crushing loss of the season.

Breaking news: Horne out after two-thirds  —  Not sure exactly what or why, but Alan Horne is out after just two-thirds of an inning here in Buffalo.  His control was horrible — 32 pitches, 12 strikes — and he was constantly shaking his right arm in between pitches.
