Strange stats for Giambi  —  I don't know how long Jason Giambi can keep this up (not that he wants to) but he has more home runs (8) than singles (7) after 43 games.  —  Barry Bonds did it once, hitting 73 homers in 2001 and collecting only 49 singles all season.  Mark McGwire had 65 homers in 1999 and only 58 singles.
