Formers Braves, Dodgers outfielder Holmes dies  —  BOCA RATON, Fla. — Tommy Holmes, an outfielder for the Boston Braves and Brooklyn Dodgers in the 1940s and 1950s, died Monday.  He was 91.  —  Holmes died of natural causes at an assisted living facility, daughter Patricia Stone said.
