How much more is he getting? — In the end, I guess things seem to have worked out for Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees. A-Rod took advantage of an opt-out clause in his contract to become a free agent and essentially signed a seven-year extension with New York. There are no opt-out clauses in this new contract.
