Glavine wins No. 300, bests Cubs — CHICAGO (Ticker) - New York Mets pitcher Tom Glavine became the 23rd player in baseball history to win 300 games Sunday night after defeating the Chicago Cubs, 8-3. — The 41-year-old lefthander tied Lefty Grove and Early Wynn for 21st place on the all-time list.
