Westbrook signs three-year extension  —  One down and two to go.  —  The Indians have signed right-hander Jake Westbrook to a three-year extension worth an estimated $33 million.  —  It's believed Westbrook will make $11 million a year under the extension.  He's making $6.1 million this year.

No DL for Mike Mussina  —  Just got off the phone with Brian Cashman.  He said that Mike Mussina was at the stadium in Oakland today to receive treatment on his hamstring.  He has not been placed on the disabled list.  —  Cashman believes that Mussina will likely miss only one start then return to the rotation.

No act: Reyes balanced  —  They sound like baseball oxymorons, phrases that appear contradictory but make perfect sense upon closer examination.  Be quick but don't hurry.  Be intense but not tense.  Or Willie Randolph's favorite when it comes to Jose Reyes' hitting style: Be aggressive but be patient.

Rangers' Wright headed to DL  —  SEATTLE - The Rangers won't make it through the season with just five starters.  They will be looking for another No. 5 starter next week.  —  Right-hander Jamey Wright, who allowed five runs in 2 2/3 innings in his first start, is headed to the disabled list today with shoulder soreness.
