Monroe's bat helps Tigers take 3-0 lead in ALCS — DETROIT (AP) — Craig Monroe gave Kenny Rogers more than enough help all by himself. — Monroe hit a homer, singled and scored another run for the Detroit Tigers in a 3-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Friday in Game 3 of the AL championship series.
